BURIED CABLE AND METHOD FOR LAYING CABLE UNDERGROUND

PURPOSE: A buried cable and a method for laying the cable underground are provided to easily lay a cable underground and ensure a superior connected state of a connector. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of micro MT connectors(36) is connected to an optical fiber of a cluster cable by fusion. A connector protection tube(40) is made of a high strength material, has an insertion hole(42) into which the MT connectors are inserted, has a shrinkage hole which draws out a pulling eye, and has a cone-shaped slant surface on edge portions of the shrinkage hole. The connector protection tube(40) is provided with a plurality of spiral notches in a longitudinal direction on an outer peripheral surface thereof. The micro MT connectors are connected on the optical fiber of the cable by a fusion process. A front end of the pulling eye is inserted through a hole of the connector protection tube up to an MT connector connecting part. The connector protection tube is put on as the front end of the pulling eye is drawn out through the shrinkage hole.
