METHOD FOR FILLING AND COMPRESSING MOLDING SAND AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain molding sand filled in a molding space demarcated with a pattern plate, a molding flask and a compressing means so as to be compressed to a necessary hardness over the whole mold without arranging such large hydraulic cylinder requiring a pit and for ascending/descending the pattern plate. SOLUTION: The molding sand is filled into the molding space. Then, the molding sand in the molding space is compressed by descending the compressing means at least in a state that a lower auxiliary flask can not be descended. The molding sand in the molding space is further compressed by descending the compressing means in a state that the upper and lower auxiliary flasks and the molding flask can be lowered.
