PURPOSE: A flat panel display vacuumization and sealing method and flat panel display using the same is provided to reduce time and cost for manufacturing display, while achieving a precise allowable error between the base plate and screen. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a first step of preparing a first plate and a second plate; a second step of heating a frit so as to form a plurality of convex concave portions at the surface of a bead(44); a third step of locating the second plate onto the frit so as to at least partially restrict a space; a fourth step of vacuumizing the space by using a flow path provided by the convex concave portions; and a fifth step of heating the plates to a temperature higher than the temperature where the frit partially flows, and applying a force to the first plate and the second plate such that the frit is partially compressed.
