The device comprises a conical or double-conical compression member(13) which is threadable on an internally and outwardly smooth tube(11), hose or similar and a supporting sleeve insertable in or on the tube. The compression member cooperates with a conical or plane surface (26) on a fitting part(12). The outre surface of the supporting sleeve has helical-shaped threads(16) which are thread-cutting during rotational threading of the tube, alternatively provided to produce corresponding helical-shaped threads during pressing of the compression member onto the tube. The sleeve(14) has a key grip for screwing the sleeve into or out off the tube.
