METHOD FOR CONTROLLING FAN ROTATION SPEED FOR MICROWAVE OVEN

PURPOSE: A method is provided to achieve a superior quality of cooked food by allowing the fan rotation speed to be varied in accordance with the food type. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a first step of allowing a control unit to recognize food type and cooking time; a second step of operating a cross flow fan at a low speed for a predetermined time period so as to maximize heater efficiency; a third step of judging the food type; and a fourth step of operating the cross flow fan at the varying speed in accordance with the food type judged in the third step. If the judged food type is meats, the cross flow fan operates at a high speed for the period of 30% of total cooking time and at a medium speed for the period of 70% of total cooking time. If the judged food type is bread, the cross flow fan operates at a high speed for the period of 30% of total cooking time and at a low speed for the period of 70% of total cooking time. If the judged food type is a high moisture content food stuff, the cross flow fan operates at a high speed for the period of 80% of total cooking time and at a medium speed for the period of 20% of total cooking time.
