PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize the capacity of a hard disk at printing. SOLUTION: A printer driver 31 divides print data for controlling printing in a printer into one or plural pieces of data, records each of data added with information for identifying the data as a subfile 70, prepares subfile name data 61 for specifying the subfile 70 and records it as a spool file 60 separately from the subfile 70. A print processor 42 reads the print spool file 60, reads the subfile 70, while referring to the subfile name data 61 and transfers print data contained in the file to a printer 20. Transferred subfiles are erased successively.
