PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a conventional base station control unit for a personal handy phone system that cannot have connected a slave unit not in a busy state to an idle channel of an adjacent base station even when a plurality of base stations adjacent to each other exists and one base station is in busy with three slave units at the same time and the slave unit not in a busy state under the control of the base station in busy with the three slave units makes a call. SOLUTION: The base station control unit of this invention is provided with a communication channel monitor section that turns off a control channel when there is a plurality of base stations adjacent to each other and one base station is busy with three slave units at the same time and three communication channels or more are in use. Thus, a slave unit not in a busy state under the control of the one base station that makes a call is once brought into out-zone, but the slave unit can come under the umbrella of an adjacent base station and can be connected to the adjacent base station. Furthermore, when the one base station having been in busy with three slave units at the same time terminates the communication with even one slave unit, the one base station again activates the control channel so as to be connected to the slave station that has been brought into out-zone.
