PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner supply roll having such properties that a toner hardly intrudes into a foamed layer of the roll, the roll has proper flexibility and can form an enough nip width, and the picture quality hardly degrades even when printing is repeated. SOLUTION: The roll has a core metal and a famed layer around the core, and the foamed layer has 0.1 to 0.8 g/cm3 density, 50 to 300μm average cell diameter, and <=5.0 cm3/cm2/sec air permeability, particularly <=3.5 cm3/cm2/sec, and more particularly, <=2.0 cm3/cm2/sec. The foamed layer is preferably a polyurethane foamed layer, and the number of through holes formed in the cell membrane is preferably 0.4 to 4.0 in average per one cell and particularly as small as 1.0 to 3.0. The polyurethane foamed layer is easily formed by molding by a mechanical froth method. |
