PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase detection circuit that reduces a switching signal so as to remarkably improve a desirable signal/undestrable signal ratio of the circuit. SOLUTION: The phase detection circuit consists of a differential pair circuit where drain terminals of MOS transistors(TRs) N1, N2 are respectively in cascade connection to a set of resistors R each consisting of two resistors, source terminals connected to each other and to ground via DC current sources 2×I0, of a 1st switching circuit having two circuits where source terminals of MOS TRs N3 (N4) are connected to drain terminals of MOS TRs N5 (N6) and source terminals of the MOS TRs N5 (N6) are respectively connected to the terminal of the other resistor of one set above, and of a 2nd switching circuit with the similar configuration to above consisting of MOS TRs N7 (N9) and N8 (N10) so as to attain the adoption of conductance cancellation circuits for the switching circuits thereby decreasing an input voltage Vin2.
