PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare an information providing system which can provide only information useful to a user. SOLUTION: This information providing system which offers corresponding information from an information center in response to an information request from a client side is equipped with a retrieval condition generating means which generates a retrieval condition from information type data from the client, a retrieving means which retrieves information according to the retrieval condition generated by the retrieval condition generating means and a transmitting means which sends the information retrieved by the retrieving means to the client side.
