PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce wear of a bearing which supports a worm shaft, and to prevent deformation of the gear housing. SOLUTION: Variable opening parts 88 and 98 are formed in first and second bearings 8 and 9 and are provided with first to third tapered parts 88A to 88C and 98A to 98C. A worm 20 is pinched, and at the same time, the third tapered parts 88C and 98C are arranged, so as to oppose each other in the axial direction, thus continuously allow the inner-periphery surfaces of the bearings 8 and 9 to always follow the outer-periphery surface of the worm shaft 11 with respect to the deflection of the worm shaft 11 for sure rotating and supporting.
