PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of an on-vehicle optical disk device which is connected with, for example, a compact disk player, navigation system, etc., when the device is used for carrying, such as loading on a vehicle, by constitut ing the device in such a manner that the data may be continuously recorded without leakage even when an ignition key is operated to be turned off during sound recording. SOLUTION: When power source supply from outside is stopped, an information signal output means 2 and information signal recording means 6 to 17 are cooperatively controlled to control the stop of the output of the information signal output means 2 and to control the stop of the recording operation by the information signal recording means 6 to 17. When the power source supply is resumed, the information signal D1 before the power source supply is stopped is controlled to be outputted again with the recording unit as a reference and the information signal D1 is controlled to be recorded again with the recording unit from the recording position before the power source supply is stopped, by which the recording processing of the information signals not interrupted in continuity may be continued when the power source supply is started again in spite of the sudden stop of the power source supply.
