PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress unnecessary resonant vibration at the time of following-up to an optical recording medium in an optical pickup. SOLUTION: A first housing 6 with an objective lens 1 and a coil 5 is a magnetic circuit that is supported by four supporting parts 8 to a second housing 7 and is constituted of the coil 5 and a magnet 11 attached to a yoke 10 fixed on an optical base 9. This magnetic circuit is controlled in oscillation in the focus direction and the tracking direction of the optical recording medium 12. An integrated element 2 consisting of a semiconductor laser and a photodetetor, a collimator lens 4 and a mirror 3 are fixed on the optical base 9. The supporting parts 8 are of the structure in which a viscoelastic braking member 8b is filled in cylindrical metallic materials 8a.
