PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a house having many usable spaces and good habitability at a low cost in the case of dwelling in one habitable room type housing (the so-called one-room apartment) partitively constructed in a building of multi-story construction. SOLUTION: In the vicinity of the ceiling in the habitable room of one habitable room type housing partitively constructed in the building of multi-story construction of two stories or more, an accessible loft space having an opening section facing the habitable room and properly using an ascending and descending device from the habitable room is provided to the inmost place from the habitable room in the limits of self-quarters in the habitable room. Preferably, the loft space is provided in the upper part of a toilet and a corridor located next to the habitable room. By the constitution, many usable spaces can be effectively increased in one habitable room type housing without giving any influence on habitability of the habitable room.
