摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle monitor system by which human labor which is required in a conventional manner is drastically reduced and a traffic volume and a traffic flow are obtained with high precision. SOLUTION: Respective image signals are processed by an image processing part 10 at each image pickup area of monitor cameras C1-Cn, various kinds of data d1-d9 are obtained in adition to the coordinates of vehicles in the respective image pickup areas, the data are converted into data of a common absolute coordinate system by a conversion processing part 40 through the use of data of a coordinate conversion data storage part 30 based on the position relation of the image pickup areas of the cameras C1-Cn and recorded in a common conversion data storage part 50, a vehicle identifying part 60 judges the same vehicle indifferent image pickup areas by the recording result and data of the respective image pickup areas concerning the same vehicle are related and recorded in a traffic data storage part 80. In the meantime, an editing processing part 70 obtains the average speed of the image pickup areas, etc., and records them by correspondence to data which are recorded in the traffic data storage part 80.
