PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the thickness and further to form an excellent light spot even in any laser beams by correcting aberration, with respect to an optical pickup device using the laser beams different in wavelength. SOLUTION: In the optical pickup device 1 having first and second laser beam sources 10, 20 which exit first and second laser beams L1, L2 different in wavelength and a beam splitter 30 which deflects these laser beams toward an optical recording medium 2, the beam splitter 30 is provided with a first deflecting surface 31 which reflects the first laser beam L1 toward the optical recording medium 2 and partially transmits the second laser beam L2 and a second deflecting surface 32 which reflects the second laser beam L2 in a position behind the first deflecting surface 31 to direct it to the optical recording medium 2. Hereupon, astigmatism is corrected because the first deflecting surface 31 is not parallel to the second deflecting surface 32. |
