PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to transfer data to a WWW server by an interface that is the same as operation for transmitting mail. SOLUTION: WWW server information 108 such as a host address, a user name and a password needed to be connected to a WWW server 2 are registered, an address for file transfer is made to correspond to the information 108, and the WWW server address is registered in an address book 105. When data for opening a homepage is transferred to the server 2, the WWW server address is designated in a destination, data is attached and transmission is instructed in the same manner as an operation for transmitting e-mail. An electronic mail and file transfer integrating system 1 judges the address designated in to destination, and when the address is the WWW server address, the system connects the address to the server 2 by using the information 108 and transfers the attached data 103 by a file.
