PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color correction method and a color correction device that can automatically conduct proper color correction and to provide recording medium for recording a color correction control program. SOLUTION: The color correction device of this invention applies color correction to color image data expressing a color image by element color components on the basis of a color conversion table. First a saturation calculation circuit 20a calculates a value of the color image data by each element color component, and a gray histogram generating circuit 20b and a mean value calculation circuit 20c calculate a color correction amount to eliminate a difference between the value of each element color component and a prescribed reference value on the basis of the value of each element color component. Then a LUT generation/incorporating circuit 20d generates a color conversion table for each element color component on the basis of the correction amount and the color correction device incorporates the generated color conversion table.
