PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communication terminal equipment and a control method therefor, with which power supply to a main control part or the like is stopped at standby and operation is enabled with small power consumption. SOLUTION: After call setting information from an ISDN 10 is received, a MAIN power unit 5 is operated by an ISDN control part 1 and power supply to a main terminal function part 2 is started. Besides, sending of a response to call setting is delayed and after the system of the main terminal function part 2 is completely started, the response to call setting is sent out.
