SOLUTION: This composite covered elastic yarn Z is composed of a yarn structure obtained by covering the circumference of an elastic yarn of a core yarn with a multifilament false twist yarn 2 of a sheath yarn in a substantially twistless manner to constitute a false twist covered elastic yarn Y of twistless coating structure and winding the circumference of the false twist coated elastic yarn Y with a filament yarn or a stable fiber yarn by twisting. The elastic yarn is arranged in parallel with the multifilament yarn and subjected false twisting to produce the false twist coated elastic yarn and the circumference of the false twist coated elastic yarn is wound with the filament yarn or the stable fiber yarn by a covering processing or a doubling processing to give the objective composite covered elastic yarn.
