PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both an apparatus and a method for producing an open end/rotor spun/hybrid yarn, capable of producing a core yarn or a wrapped yarn comprising fiber assemblies of different kinds as a core yarn, a sheath yarn or a wrapping yarn and to obtain the open end/rotor spun/hybrid yarn. SOLUTION: This method for producing the open end/rotor spun/hybrid yarn comprises feeding fiber assemblies of different kinds, especially a sliver 4 composed of cotton fiber and a feed yarn 5 composed of a polyester filament each having a fixed fiber content ratio to different feed parts in a frame, passing the fed yarns through tension imparting means such as a pair of feed rollers 6 and a tenser, etc., controlled by a variable motor, sending the yarns to a tension measuring instrument 8 and a hollow shaft part, introducing the fed yarns to the inside of a rotor, twisting the yarns so as to make the cotton fiber wrap the polyester yarn and taking up the wrapped yarn on a take-up roller 9 so that an open end/rotor spun/hybrid yarn 10 of cotton/polyester can be obtained from the fiber assemblies of different kinds by one fine spinning process.
