PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emission device of a high brightness and a high reliability. SOLUTION: On a reflecting electrode 101, an anode 102, an EL layer 103, a cathode 104 and an auxiliary electrode 105 are sequentially laminated. In addition, the anode 102, the cathode 104 and the auxiliary electrode 105 are transparent or translucent to visible rays. In such a structure, because almost all the emitted light generated in the EL layer 103 is radiated to the cathode 104 side, an effective light emission area of pixel is greatly improved.
