PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mirror scanner which has little losses and the minimum degradation of the optical performance, by reducing the number of necessary mirrors and the number of driving devices, and performing two-dimensional positioning by one time reflection. SOLUTION: One mirror (10) is supported rotatably around two axes crossing mutually by support means (50a, 50b, 51a, 51b, 52 and 55), or is supported pivotally so as to be rotatable in an arbitrary angle direction, and the direction of light is directed toward an arbitrary position of a two-dimensional surface by rotating one mirror in an arbitrary angle or the arbitrary direction around the two axes, or the pivot by moment generating means (20a-20g, 30a-30g, 35a-35b, 80 and 53).
