PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a border system and its work execution method capable of finely adjusting and properly processing the residual space of a border and having a simpler structure and better work executability at a low cost. SOLUTION: This border system is provided with a plurality of support sections laid on a floor surface at prescribed intervals, fundamental panels supported and laid on the support sections, a border mat installed near the prescribed boundary surface in the residual space between the peripheral edge of the installed fundamental panels and the boundary surface, and a border panel supported and installed by being coupled with the support section located on the peripheral edge and the border mat. The border panel is coupled with the border mat in the prescribed direction toward the boundary surface from the peripheral edge of the fundamental panels, and the adjustable mount width of the border panel to the upper face of the border mat is set to the prescribed mount width to lay the border panel in this border system.
