PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alleviate large burdens on production and installation of a conventional flowing off type snow protection fence, which burdens are required for generating excessive strength in order to prevent generation of aerodynamic oscillations forming a fatigue fracture factor on the snow protection plates, because a large eddy area is formed behind the conventional flowing off type snow protection fence. SOLUTION: In order to solve the problem of the conventional whiffling-type snow protection fence, there is developed a high-performance snow protection fence which employs circular blade-type snow protection plates 1 each having a large elevation angle in place of flat snow protection plates in the conventional fence. As a result, whirling-up of a snowstorm current in a fence downward current can be prevented, and high-density snowstorm can be moved and flown off along a road surface. Further, by setting a perforated plate 2 at an upper edge of the fence, aerodynamic oscillations of the circular arc- shaped blade-type snow protection plates 1 can be completely prevented, and as a result, the strength of a material forming the fence is reduced, to thereby achieve reduction of the weight of the fence.
