SOLUTION: This device is provided with a picture effect processing section 60 performing picture effect processing for picture data near an edition point when second material data is inserted into first material data, a picture effect processing data extracting section 53 extracting picture effect processing data, a recording and reproducing section 110 recording extracted picture effect processing data in a recording medium, a first virtual file in which a recording region of the recording medium of the first material data is described, a second virtual file in which a recording region of the recording medium of the second material data is described, a virtual file generating section 91 generating a third virtual file in which a recording region of the recording medium of picture effect processing data is described, and a reproduction control section 91 controlling the recording and reproducing section 110 so as to reproduce the first to the second material data and picture effect processing data based on the first to the third virtual tile.
