PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable pipe assembly without causing a lowering of strength of a connected part while easily connecting pipes using a tapered component and easily dismantling the pipes from each other. SOLUTION: When connecting the pipes 20 with 30 to constitute this pipe assembly, a hole 21 is formed on one side of the pipe 20, and a tapered hole 22 enlargingly opened to the inside of the pipe 20 is formed in the opposed position. A tapered component with an internal thread previously machined and with its outline surface shape provided with a truncated come type tapered part 12 and a collar part 11 projected from the tapered part 12, is pressed into the hole 22 from the inside of the pipe through the hole 21, while a bolt 41 is inserted through a hole 31 formed in the pipe 30, and fastened to an internal screw part 14 of the tapered component to connect the pipes 20 and 30.
