PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diesel particulate filter system and an exhaust emission purifying catalytic converter easily installable in a diesel particulate filter (DP filter) or a metal shell of a catalyst holder and capable of reducing the exhaust gas, and to provide methods of manufacturing them. SOLUTION: A holding seal material 1 is arranged between a diesel particulate filter 3 and a metal shell 2 so as to form a diesel particulate filter system. This method has a process for forming a coated body 4 while coating the DP filter 3 with the holder seal material 1 and a process for inserting the coated body 4 into a pipe-like metal shell 2. The inner wall of the metal shell 2 is formed with a spiral groove 21, and when inserting the coated body 4 into the metal shell, the coated body 4 is screwed into the metal shell 2 while rotating the coated body 4 in a spiral progressing direction of the spiral groove 21 of the metal shell 2. |
