PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a memory unit to be viewed existence of it from the case outside in a data cartridge provided with the non contacting type memory unit in the inside of a case main body. SOLUTION: In an inner corner space S of the case main body 1 of a square shape, the memory unit M is placed in an inside surface of an outer peripheral side wall 13 of the case main body so as to be close and meet to the inner side surface of the outer peripheral side wall 13. A transparent window 14 is provided in the outer peripheral side wall 13 and the memory unit M is made visible from the outside through the transparent window 14.
