PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify mounting and demounting an ice chute of an open cell type automatic ice making machine, and facilitate its cleaning. SOLUTION: The present automatic ice making machine includes an ice making section case A where front and back edges of a pair of left and right side sections 20 are coupled with the aid of a front wall 35 and a rear wall 30, an ice making water tank 40 provided on a lower end of the case, a water sprayer 50 provided on a lower portion in the ice making section case, and an ice making chamber 60 including at a lower portion thereof a plurality of ice making cells 62 provided at an upper portion in the ice making section case for receiving ice making water injected upward from the water sprayer, the chamber being cooled with a cooling pipe 65, and an ice chute 70 provided slantingly at a vertical intermediate section in the ice making section case. The ice chute forms a support leg piece 74 extending downward at a front and a rear portion thereof, which leg piece is resiliently engaged with the cylindrical chute support member 38 provided in the ice making section case to be hereby removably mounted on the ice making section case.
