PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide excellent durability and to indicate a stable and low friction factor for a long period. SOLUTION: This slide base isolation device is provided with a slide support disposed between lower and upper skeletons. The slide support is constituted that a smoothing plate situated on the lower skeleton side and a slide material situated on the upper skeleton side are disposed with the respective slide surfaces of the smoothing plates making contact with each other, the chamfered part decreased in an outside diameter on the slide surface side is formed in the slide material, a cover to cover the chamfered part is provided, and a space formed by the cover and the chamfered part is filled with a gel-form or a solid-form lubricant.
