PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera control unit and a camera system that are compatible with a variety of formats. SOLUTION: The camera control unit is provided with a window pulse generating section 12 that generates a window pulse WNDP around timing of a frame phase of a genlock signal LK 1 on the basis of the genlock signal LK 1 received via a reference signal input terminal TIN 1 and provides an output of the window pulse to a reset pulse generating section 13 and with the reset pulse generating section 13 that receives a genlock signal LK 2 via a reference signal input terminal TIN 2, generates a frame reset signal FRST and supplies it to each of timing generators 11-1, 11-2, 11-3 when there is timing with a frame phase of the genlock signal LK 2 in the window pulse WNDP generated by the window pulse generating section 12.
