A copolymer of thermosensitive solubility obtained from a specified monomer composition The monomer composition comprises (all hydrosoluble): (A) 1-98 mol.% of a compound of formulae (I) or (II) (below); (B) 2-95 mol.% ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid or anhydride; (C) 0-70 mol.% of a compound of formulae (III) or (IV) (below); (D) 0-30 mol.% of a compound of formulae (V) or (VI); (E) compounds of formula (VII) or (VIII) or ethylenically unsaturated monomers which are sulfonated or silanated or phosphonated or have phosphate groups or monomers having N-vinyl groups, or compounds of formula (IX), acrylonitrile, allyl alcohol, vinylpyridine, N-(meth)acryloyltris(hydroxymethyl) methylamine, 2-sulfoethyl (meth)acrylate, 2-(acetoacetoxy)ethyl (meth)acrylate. Independent claims are included for the procedure of preparation by radical polymerization in an aqueous medium, for a mixture in aqueous medium of on or more of the claimed polymers with a hydrophobic (co)polymer, for the use of the claimed polymers for the fabrication of hydrodispersible or hydrodisintegrable films, especially those forming part of hydrodisintegrable hygiene articles, for such films, for use of the polymers as binders for fiber tissues or as components of adhesives, especially those forming part of hydrodisintegrable hygiene articles and hygiene articles, especially disposable comprising in any form the claimed copolymer or a mixture with at least 50 wt.% of hydrophobic polymer. |
