PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to perform multimedia data retrieval between respective systems utilizing color histogram having different color space and formed by a color quantizing method. SOLUTION: Inquiry multimedia data are inputted, the histogram of the inputted multimedia data and the histogram of retrieval object multimedia data are converted into the same histogram, the similarity between the inquiry multimedia data and the retrieval object multimedia data is calculated based on the converted histogram, and retrieval results corresponding to the similarity are outputted. |
