PURPOSE: Provided are a diamino compound, a polymer synthesized by using the diamino compound, and a varnish, an oriented film and a liquid crystal display element, obtained by using the polymer. CONSTITUTION: The diamino compound is represented by formula 1. In the formula 1, R1 and R2, which may be same or different, are each independently hydrogen or a 1-3C linear or branched alkyl group, Q is a single bond or a 1-5C alkylene bond which may be substituted, and m and l are each independently 0 or an integer of 1-4, and n is 0 or 1.
