PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toroidal type continuously variable transmission having power roller structure to collectively achieve ensuring of smooth rotational movement of a power roller inner ring as collapse deformation of a power roller inner ring during an action of a load on the power roller inner ring is suppressed, improvement of durability of the power roller and each bearing, reduction of the number of parts, and reduction of the number of working processes. SOLUTION: In a toroidal type continuously variable transmission formed that a power roller 18c consists of a power roller inner ring 93 making friction contact with input and output discs 18a and 18b, and a power roller outer bearing 94 to receive a contact load, inputted to the power roller inner ring 93 from the input and output discs 18a and 18b, through a ball bearing 92, the power roller inner ring 93 forms an inner ring having a closure part 93b to close an inner diameter hole 93a opposite to the power roller outer ring 94.
