PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of loosening a clamp-fixed stud by the force of detaching a wrench when detaching the wrench from the stud since the wrench is screwed with an external thread on the outer periphery to clamp-fix the stud to an oil pump cover or the like in the case of the stud for fixing an oil filter, and low work efficiency due to requiring many man-hours for releasing a screwed state after preliminarily screwing and fastening the stud to the wrench. SOLUTION: This external screw member is provided with an external screw 1 provided on the outer peripheral surface of a round bar body, a through hole 2 piercing the axial center of the round bar body, and an engaging part provided at least at one end of the round bar body, communicating with the through hole 2, and engaged with a tool when rotated.
