PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain the highly reliable detection result of a sensor in a low cost system by exchanging the sensor detection result by RFID. SOLUTION: This sensor 10 constituted as a system for detecting water leakage in piping is arranged in advance on the surface or in the neighborhood of piping for conveying a fluid. The manager of the piping permits a portable terminal unit to be close to the sensor 10 from the ground and transmits radio wave with a prescribed frequency. Then induced electromotive force is generated in the coil 13 of the sensor 10 and an ultrasonic sensor 11 is started. The detection signal of the ultrasonic sensor 11 is transmitted to the coil 13 via a CPU 12 and transmitted to the portable terminal unit. The CPU of the portable terminal unit judges the existence of water leakage based on the received signal and reports the existence of water leakage by a reporting means such as the display of the portable terminal unit, etc.
