PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle position detecting device capable of detecting that a vehicle position is deviated from a prescribed control range with high precision. SOLUTION: A plurality of magnetic sensors are arranged in the width direction of the vehicle, a level comparator 18 detects whether the output levels of the two prescribed magnetic sensors are equal to or more than a prescribed value or not, a differential arithmetic unit 20 judges whether the output level of the magnetic sensor at the outer side of the vehicle width direction between the two magnetic sensors is larger than the output level of the inner side magnetic sensor or not and an abnormality output is issued when the whole conditions are satisfied.
