PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system with a simple configuration with which an e-mail user using a portable telephone, a PDA, etc., without a printing function can perform printing even without having a PC and can also attach enterprise advertisement, etc., to the printing contents. SOLUTION: This printing system consists of an application server 105 which converts received e-mail into printing data, inserts advertisement into the printing data and subsequently transmits the printing data through a communication network 103, a printer adapter 108 which converts the printing data transmitted from the server 105 and transmits the converted data to a printer 109, and the printer 109 which prints the converted printing data. The e-mail user utilizing the PDA, etc., without having a printing function can perform printing with the designated printer 109 by transferring the e-mail which the user wants to record to the server 105.
