<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To add a contour image showing the contour of an original in an arbitrary form to a copy image as needed without lowering the quality of the copy image. SOLUTION: This device is composed of an image reading part for reading the image of the original and converting it to an image signal, an original image signal detecting part for detecting an image signal higher than a prescribed level as an original image signal out of converted image signals, on original image generating part for generating the original image from the detected original image signal, an edge image signal detecting part for detecting an image signal lower than the prescribed level as an edge image signal showing the edges of the original out of converted image signals, a contour image generating part for generating the contour image of prescribed width from the detected edge image signal, and copy part for copying the original image to the copy paper of a prescribed size and copying the original image while adding the contour image of the original as needed.</p> |
