<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording mounting device and method which prevent the missing of a cassette tape even when the cassette tape is hooked or is discharged in loading the cassette tape to a magnetic recording and reproducing device. SOLUTION: When the cassette tape is judged to be no more in an inserted state while the operation to retract the cassette tape is carried out, a flag indicating that the cassette tape is no more in the inserted state and that the cassette tape is discharged while the cassette tape is retracted is set and this flag is sent to a system controller for controlling the entire part of a library system. As a result, even in such a case the cassette tape is hooked and drawn out after a cassette transporting robot pushes the cassette tape into the cassette insertion section of the magnetic recording and reproducing device, the cassette tape may be surely mounted and such an incident of the missing of the place where the cassette tape exists may be prevented.</p> |
