PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of a conventional engine driven air conditioner that operation of an engine is unstable because lean combustion is performed normally and that NOx (nitrogen oxide) may not be kept at a low level due to aging when lean combustion is set initially. SOLUTION: Fig. 6 shows an operation flow in lean combustion mode wherein a target load rate H1 is calculated from a current load rate H0 (step S6). If H1-H0 is larger than 0, ignition timing of an engine and a fuel regulation valve are regulated to the lean combustion side otherwise the operation flow skips to step S9 (steps S2-S8). Subsequently, the operation flow returns back to step S1 of Fig. 5 if T-H0, is larger than 0 otherwise the operation flow returns back to step S7 (step S9). |
