PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a leakage resistance of a hermetically sealed cell. SOLUTION: In the hermetically sealed cell, a battery main body 2 impregnated by an electrolyte is housed in an armoring can 1 having a bottom, and a lid body 5, which is structured by overlaying a top cover 3 and an inner lid 4, is placed on an open end side of the armoring can 1. The perimeter of the lid body 5 is crimped by an edge of an open end of the armoring can 1 through a gasket 6, and the armoring can 1 is hermetically sealed by the lid body. On a facing surface of the outer surface of the perimeter of the top cover 3 with a gasket 6, an irregularity 7 is formed from the crimped tip of the open end side of the armoring can 1 to the outer edge side of the top cover. Thus, the sliding of the gasket is restricted by allowing the generation of an anchoring effect for the gasket, the resiliency of the gasket can be kept, and the adhesion, i.e., the maximum interface attaining pressure can be increased. Moreover, the contact area for the lid body and the armoring can of the gasket can be increased, i.e., the effective interfacial distance can be increased, and the sealing effect by the gasket can be improved, so that the leakage resistance is improved.
