1,070,528. Cigarette lighters. FLAMINAIRE MARCEL QUERCIA. Aug. 4, 1964 [July 25, 1963], No. 30473/64. Heading F4F. A cigarette lighter has two moulded parts 2, 3, hinged together at 6 and retained in their closed position by a metal clip 4 pivoted on a pin 5, the clip 4 having an aperture 9 adjacent the striker wheel 17 for the flame. A lever 20 pivoted at 5 has a camming surface 22 to bear against the fuel container 1 so that when the lever 20 is depressed the container 1 is forced against a projection 11 on the easing part 3 to open a fuel valve to allow fuel to pass to the burner tube 7 via the channel 13. A resilient ring 10 surrounds the valve to seal the outlet. A headed pin 33 inside the flint spring 29 is held behind the abutment 30 to allow ready replacement of the flint. |
