Method uses fixed sensors (C1-C8) to periodically measure the vibrating blades (2) of a turbine (3). This enables the self-resonating frequencies to be determined using spectrum analysis. The sensors are grouped into several arrays of different numbers of sensors. Resonant frequency determination involved comparing spectra of different arrays by various operations and selecting and rejecting spectral lines.
