PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image glossiness adjusting device excellent in durability though device constitution is made compact and capable of adjusting the glossiness of an image. SOLUTION: This glossiness adjusting device is provided with a glossiness imparting member 2 whose surface 20a contacting with the image at least can move in a sheet type member carrying direction (a) in a state where the member 2 comes into contact with the image 12 formed on a sheet type member 4, and a counter carrying member 3 driven and rotated in a state where the sheet type member is made to abut on or pressed to the member 2. The moving speed V1 of the surface 20a of the member 2 is made higher than the moving speed V2 of the surface 3a of the member 3. |
