PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the flow of cooling liquid is stopped due to foreign particles and large pressure fluctuations overheating the electric motor, when the proper flow rate of liquid coolant flowing between a rotating rotor and a stationary stator is inhibited to approximately one fifth the conventional case. SOLUTION: On the upstream side of a cooling path for flowing to air gap, where the flow rate of the liquid coolant is to be reduced, a shunt is provided, where the shunt is composed of a channel consisting of constriction parts, such as a gate valve and an orifice, and a channel consisting of a valve seat where an aperture is constricted, a float resistor, and space where a stopper for blocking the resistor from flowing downstream is accommodated.
