PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce thickness and weight and to improve productivity, related to the fitting structure for a portable electronic apparatus, where a lid part is fitted to a main body part with a hinge axis. SOLUTION: A portable electronic apparatus is provided where a lid 10 comprising a display panel 16 is fitted, for free opening/closing, to a body 50 on which parts such as a board 60 and a component 70 such as a CD-ROM drive are mounted using a hinge axis 32. Here, joint parts 21a and 21b, and 22a, provided to the end of frames 20a and 20b for fixing the display panel 16 and/or the end of a stay 22 for holding the frames 20a and 20b, are fixed to the hinge axis 32.
