PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase output per volume of a brushless AC generator. SOLUTION: Inner and outer rings 51 and 52 of a bearing 5, that forms one part of the field magnetic circuit between a rotary yoke part 221 and a stationary yoke part (ground plate) 231, and at the same time, rotatably supports the rotary shaft 21, have a silicon content of 0.9 to 1.1 wt.%, thus improving the permeability of the bearing 5, decreasing the reluctance of the magnetic circuit where field magnetic flux flows, and hence increasing the output without loosening the engagement between a bearing box 71 of a stationary yoke part (frame) 7, that is made of carbon steel and the bearing 5.
